Our Story
Springbank Cheese Company was established in 1960 by Frank Hemsworth and has been proudly operated by three generations of the Hemsworth family, with the support of our friendly, experienced, and dedicated staff.
Our namesake, the Springbank Snow Countess, was a celebrated Holstein cow who held the world record for lifetime butterfat production. A statue stands in her honour in Woodstock, Ontario, at the site of her former home, Springbank Farm.
Today, Springbank Cheese offers many high-quality cheeses — both domestically produced and imported from around the world.
Our Ontario Facility
At our Ontario facility, cheese is cut, shredded, and packaged into deli- and consumer-sized pieces.
The facility is federally licensed under the Safe Food for Canadians Act and regularly inspected by the CFIA and OMAFRA, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards.
